Early Opt-In for Upcoming Features - New Admin Setting
We've added the ability for Ashby admins to Early Opt-in to upcoming features to allow more control over how users in your account adopt features.
This is particularly useful for upcoming changes that may impact your standard Ashby workflows. By using this new Early opt-on admin feature you can communicate changes internally and plan a rollout separate from the Ashby rollout.
Here's how it works.
There are two types of upcoming features: Early Opt-in, and New Setting.
Early Opt-in
Features you can enable early for your organization ahead of the rollout date.
They will eventually become the new default experience on the provided rollout date. Leaving the enable option to Auto automatically enables the features as the new default experience when the rollout date lapses.
New Setting
New setting features have more options as they will eventually become an optional setting vs. the new default experience.
- Auto - the new setting will be enabled automatically on the rollout date
- Enable - the ability to enable it early before the rollout date
- Disable - turn off the feature ensuring it does not become the new default experience.
This new functionality will give you more control over how you roll out certain features of Ashby to your users. Not every feature Ashby releases will go through this system. Keep an eye out for announcements that are available for Early Opt-in in the future.
